Hi people! there's some interesting news... for me, lol. i brought a new tablet ( larger than the last one) and a-lot-of-pages sketchbook, so... wordpress is on fire now!, while i still had to deal with the shitty post editor of blogger (dude, i had to drag the images to put them in order.. that is why i don't even...)

And Mark Smith is funding to make The New Brighton Archealogical Society 2 a reallity (so i can color it). check this article in wired, why Kickstarter can become a excellent sistem to indie creators.

Also Nate, is making his Project Waldo a reality: Image comics is publishing Nonplayer. Check this page.. duuuuuuuuuude. pure quality.

Hoy lanzo en mi página mi webcomic Equipo Lalamras. Lo escribí/dibujé por allá en el 2009, planee en hacerlo fanzine pero por mi culpa, por mi gran culpa, al final no pasó nada. Ahora volvió en forma de fichas, redibujado, en español e inglés!. Desde esta semana, actualizado todos los domingos. Promesa de dibujante! jauaja.

Pero no solo en mi página, sino que también se puede leer en inglés en Energy Punch, junto a otros comics creados por varios amigos y gracias a las canas verdes de CHUCK que administra el sitio, hay unos problemillas de hosting asi que si no se ve algo, apliquen f5 jajaja.

Tambien Flinisteridius esta publicando su comic Ofúscate!. Aparte de que él hace poco me realizo una entevista en su blog (lean parte 1, 2 y 3 )

Además desde el miercoles se inicia la Feria Visual Delira, donde estará gran parte del jet-set comiquero, pasen, compren fanzines y compartan con l@s cabr@s.

Como ven hay harto pa vacilar en cuanto a comic, ahora escribiré el post version gringa con las cosas interesantes arraund de guorrrd.

Hi i'm not dead. yet.
i'm enjoing the summer also doing some comic coloring work.
lately i've started to feeling more motivated to do things on my own even if they don't have immediate financial success, than working for others, i still have bills to pay but that is another matter.

also i'm focusing more into calligraphy, lettering etc. than drawing is pretty fun, and helps to think more in a concept than a execution. i'm still a noob at this, i need to practice more.

All done in Paint Tool Sai, is a light and simple drawing tool, check it.

Esto lo realicé por dos razones:

1- Para hacer un cómic ya que me cuesta hacerlos como quiero que sean, un ejercicio para definir estilo y narrativa

2-Para un concurso que al final no gané.

Lápices y Tintas realizadas en papel, con grafito y brushpen (googleenlo, es una excelente herramienta).

Color en Photoshop, enfocado en lograr colores cercanos a los planos, que facilitaran la lectura y otorgaran atmósfera.

El cómic está basado en un universo que lentamente he ido creando donde pretendo realizar una serie de historias. Influenciado por las películas de ciencia ficción, la literatura distópica, los documentales de guerra, el crimen poblacional, la pobreza y los recuerdos de la infancia.
